About New York Hair Transplantations

Hair Transplant Surgery and Restoration

Dr. Jacono

At New York Hair Trasplantations we offer the latest in Technology combined with the experience of our surgical director Dr Andrew Jacono. Our philosophy is to restore a full head of hair to our clients using the least invasive methods that create natural looking hairlines that are undetectable as surgery. Dr Jacono has been performing hair transplantation surgery in his practice for the last 14 years and is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeins (ISHRS) . Dr Jacono had rigorous training in the latest methods of follicular unit hair transplant (FUT) during his advanced fellowship 1 year fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He regularly performs follicular unit extraction hair transplant (FUE) which is the least invasive method of hair transplant which removes the hair folliciles one by one. This method does not create an incision that leaves a linear detectable scar on the back of the head.

Dr Jacono is Dual Board Certified in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon by the American Borad of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and American Board of Head and Neck Surgery. He has been selected as one of the best facial plastic and hair transplant surgeons in New York by US News and World Report as well as Castle Connolly’s Guide to America’a Top Doctors. He is an Assistant Professor at the New York Medical College and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and one of 41 Fellowship Directors for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He regularly lectures at the most prestigious meetings of the International, European, and American Societies for Facial Plastic Surgery.

Dr Jacono is a strong believer in philanthropy. He regularly travels to third world countries to perform reconstructive surgery on children who are born with birth defects including cleft lip and palate and microtia (a condition where children are born without ears) or have been the victims of burn injuries or trauma. He has traveled to South America, Central America and Southeast Asia on over 12 missions where he has operated on over 500 children. He has been recognized for his work receiving the Community Service Award from the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery that is given to one surgeon each year. He is currently the surgical team leader for Healing the Children Northeast.
