How does NeoGraft work?
The NeoGraft follicular unit extraction (FUE) is a method of harvesting donor hair follicles to transplant to thinning or balding areas of the scalp. The FUE process is performed with a small instrument that makes a 1 mm circular incision around a hair follicle, accurately separating it from the surrounding tissue.
The unit is then extracted (pulled) directly from the scalp, leaving a small round incision point in the scalp that heals naturally, without the need for stitches. The FUE procedure removes the follicular units one by one, directly from the scalp, a far different approach than traditional follicular unit transplant (FUT).

The follicular unit hair implants harvested with the NeoGraft system are immediately transplanted to the thinning or balding areas of the scalp, in a natural-looking pattern. Once the hair follicle grafts have been separated and prepared, tiny recipient sites are created in the balding or thinning areas with a fine needle-point instrument. The follicular units are then placed into the recipient sites, where they will become healthy hair-producing follicles.
What is the difference between FUE and FUT?
The creation of recipient sites and the placing of follicular unit grafts is the same in both FUE and FUT procedures. The difference lies in the impact on the donor area of the scalp. With FUT, the “strip method”, a section of scalp is removed from the back of the head, leaving a scar.
